Ivory Coast: 35 years of the National Marian Sanctuary!

The National Marian Shrine of Côte d'Ivoire, Mary Our Lady of Africa, Mother of all graces, celebrated its 35th anniversary on Sunday, February 06, 2022, during a Eucharist presided over by Cardinal Jean-Pierre Kutwa , in the presence of several authorities of the country, many priests, men and women religious and thousands of faithful from different dioceses.

The faithful dressed in their most beautiful clothes with the effigy of Mary and the Sanctuary braved the heavy rain that fell on the city of Abidjan to give thanks to the Lord for the countless graces obtained during these 35 years through the intercession of his Mother, Mary, in their lives, for Côte d'Ivoire, Africa and the whole world.

 "Each year, the month of February reminds regulars and other pilgrims that this Marian shrine holds very fond memories of the marvelous work established here, in this area of ​​the Cité Fairmont, in memory of the inauguration date of this dedicated shrine. to the Virgin Mary under the very evocative name of Our Lady of Africa, Mother of all graces. And when, in addition, this memory coincides with a jubilee, the joy multiplies because ultimately and beyond the memory, it is God's consideration for his people that takes precedence over any other consideration,” said Cardinal Jean -Pierre Kutwa, Archbishop of Abidjan, at the start of his homily.
